What this site does
RAK handles more than nine million passengers a year, most of them seeing Morocco for the first time. The practical information that matters to them — what a taxi costs, how far a car gets into the medina, when bus 19 stops, how long border police take — is scattered, often out of date, and routinely copied from one site to another without checking.
Our aim is straightforward: one page per real question, with dated figures, honest orders of magnitude, and a clear statement of what we do not know.
How we verify
- Fares are taken from official boards, operator price lists and booking tools, with the date of the check shown on the page.
- Timetables and frequencies come from the operators concerned, not from forums or third-party articles.
- Waiting times are given as ranges, distinguishing off-peak from peak, because a single figure would mislead.
- Legal points — formalities, compensation, the status of ride-hailing — are tied to the applicable text and revised when the situation changes.
When something changes, we correct the page rather than publish a new one. If you spot an error or a price that no longer matches reality, write to us: it is the most useful contribution there is.
Our independence
We are affiliated with neither the Office National Des Aéroports, nor Marrakech Menara Airport, nor any airline. No hotel, hire company or transfer operator pays to appear on this site, and none has any say over what we write about them.
When we recommend an option, it is because it seems the best one in a given situation — and we also say when it is not. The taxi rank is often the best choice in Marrakech, and we write that, even though it earns us nothing.
How the site is funded
Some pages contain affiliate links to booking platforms. If you book through them, we receive a commission without the price you pay going up. That is what funds writing and updating the pages.
These links do not determine our recommendations, and our affiliate disclosure sets out exactly how it works.
